In the leadership assessment I scored a 90 which represents high readiness for a leadership role. I thinks this score represents me perfectly because although I have a high score its not perfect and it shows I have weaknesses when leading. Over the past years I have been a leader in academic groups, athletics and my job positions and sometimes I in charge or  people come to me with leadership opportunities. Then on the other hand I sometimes declined opportunities because of fear.
  Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 2-1

On the quiz I scored a 63 meaning a high desirable level of self confidence. The question in the quiz tries to measure how you react in new settings and your performance so my score to me sums up. Although I have a high score I have areas I need to improve on. Sometimes I quickly respond "I don't know" when asked a question because I'm nervous or feel uncomfortable attending a social event by myself.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 2-2
In the leadership quiz 2-2 the questions being ask is to see if you display the behaviors and attitude of a trustworthy leader, but this time it doesn’t have a scoring key. The quiz according to the book is mostly for self reflection, but the more you select this statement fits you, the more trustworthy you are.
After taking quiz 2-2 I feel that I have moderate trustworthy skills. The quiz asked questions like "would people say you're reliable?", "do you compliment others?" Or "do you maintain eye contact with people when talking to them?" Those three question describe my weaknesses because I did let some people down which maybe caused them to think they can't depend on me, sometimes I get uncomfortable making eye contact and I don’t compliment people.

Leadership Self-Assessment 3-1

In the leadership quiz 3-1 the questions being ask is to see if you display the behaviors and attitude that reflects charisma, but this time it doesn’t have a scoring key. The quiz according to the book the more of the 15 statements that apply to me now, the greater the probability that you are perceived to be charismatic.
By taking this self-assessment I realized that I am not charismatic. For most of the question I put "does not apply or probably never will" which is not a good thing. I don’t come off as a person who is energetic and  people don’t tell me I have a warm smile. The key to me becoming charismatic is communicating with people and having good energy.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 3-2
In this particular self-assessment the reader is reading the statements and checking off the ones that applies to a supervisor I currently work for or worked for in the past.
For this quiz I assessed two different people, for the individual focused I assessed my old boss David and for group focused my basketball coach Shack. I can honestly say all of the statements apply to the both of them. My boss David always encourages me, give me feedback, and challenges me while my basketball coach Shack encourages the team every chance, gives us the same goals and talk about the future.

This assessment measures if you have a strong situational perspective as a leader and manager. On the quiz I scored  70 out of 75 meaning I have or would a strong situational perspective as a leader. Although in my work experience I haven’t had any situational problems where I had to address or lead anyone in the work place so I picked what would be right in my opinion. As a manager in my opinion having the trust and a relationship with the employees is very important but also knowing how to handle, lead, and discipline so when it came to some of the statements like “a manager will usually need to provide clear direction during a crisis”.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 5-2: Quality of Leader-Member Relations
The Quality of Leader-Member Relations self assessment is composed of twelve statements that has to be answered with I agree or disagree. Unlike most of the chapter self assessments this one doesn’t have a specific score instead the more statements you agree with determines whether you have a good leader-member relationship. In this assessment I agreed with most of the statements about job task and efforts but disagreed with the statements that addresses the relationship with my supervisor. My first and only job was interning at the office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) indexing, tagging, and scanning files which is not apart of  my career path so my supervisor and I didn’t connect on a personal level because we had different interest. I agreed with most of the statements about job task and efforts for the approval of my supervisor because I want to excel in everything I do, my first job wasn’t in the industry I want to build in but the job gave me experience and making a good impression is how you get more opportunities.

On the quiz I scored 22 points meaning I am a highly ethical and trustworthy leader. Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 9-1: Team Player Attitudes
This particular assessment is designed to determine if you classify as a good team player. On the assessment I scored 38 out of  60 which means I have moderate behavior and attitude towards being in a team and working with a group. Although I expected my score to be higher, when looking back at different times when I worked within a group I can see where I need to improve in order to become a better team player. In high school I played on the women’s basketball team and sometimes I wasn’t always the best teammate. Sometimes in practice I would let my attitude get in the way of my performance and cause problem with my teammates so sometimes my attitude prevents me from being a team player.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 10-1: How Meaningful Is My Work?
Chapter 10 “How Meaningful Is My Work?” assessment indicates whether you job is meaningful. Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 10-2: How Much Do I Crave Recognition?
Leadership assessment quiz 10-2 determines your skill recognition need with eleven questions. Different scores determine how big is your need for recognition, a total of 11-29 means a below average need for recognition, you like to have your good deeds. Total of 30-49 is an average need for recognition and does not require constant reminders of good work. While the score of 50-55 means you have a above average recognition need, recognition is a strong motivator for you. On the quiz my total score was 30 out of 55 meaning I have a average need for recognition and do not require constant reminders. Recognition need for me is different, for my work life I have a average need but things in my personal life or hobbies the need is above average. In my work life recognition is not important when it comes to effectively completing task or motivation because I am so task orientated I just do the work because its what needs to bee done for success, but personal task id completely different. When it comes to do something that’s out of my comfort  zone I need plenty of motivation because of my insecurities. Basketball for example was a hobby I needed recognition for because it was something new and different.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 10-3: Characteristics of an Effective Coach
The Characteristics of an Effective Coach Assessment is to see whether you have the characteristics, traits, attitudes, or behaviors of an effective coach. While taking the assessment you have to evaluate yourself and action to see if the characteristic describes yourself. Right now I have not fully developed the characteristics of an effective coach. The areas I need to work on is enthusiasm for people, patience towards people, and low hostility towards people. These are the areas I need to work on because I have a tendency to let my attitude control a situation or prevent me from getting to know someone. For improvement I plan to do exercises to control my emotions and just stick it out.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 12-1: A Self-Portrait of My Communication Effectiveness
The chapter twelve assessment one quiz tries to determine ones communication effectiveness. Communication is one of my weaknesses so before taking the assessment I predict my evaluation to be low. If eight or more statements are true then you’re an effective communicator, if three or fewer statements are true, you need improvement. In total seven statement were false and four was true. Although the assessments says three or fewer statements means you need significant improvement, it still applies to me because communication is a major weakness for me right now. Public speaking and meeting new people is something I tend to shy away from. Slowly I have been becoming better at public speaking because teachers or mentors believe I am a leader in the making and know how to talk to a crowd. Improvement still needs to be made but I’m working towards it.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 12-2: Cross-Cultural Skills and Attitudes
Chapter twelve assessment two quiz measures the skills and attitudes that’s are important for relating to coworkers in a culturally diverse workplace or environment. In the workplace, I have worked with all adults the were years older than me and I have also worked with people my age, but both experience showed me diversity. Before taking the assessment I predict that my score will reflect me function well with different people with different cultures. On the assessment my total score revealed that I need to develop more cross-cultural awareness and skills to work effectively in a diverse environment. My interpretation of my cross-cultural awareness was surprising but now I understand that just because you work with and cooperate with someone of a different culture doesn’t mean you relate.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 12-3: My Conflict Resolution Style
The Conflict Resolution Style quiz test readers to see how they react to certain situations. This assessment is completely different from the others instead of calculating your score at the end and reading your score interpretation instead you give yourself a one point for each answer that matches the answer key. If your score is from eight to ten then you use the collaborative (win-win) approach to resolving conflicts and negotiating. A score of seven or less means you use the competitive (win-lose) approach. On the assessment my total score was eight statements that were mostly true meaning I have a win-win approach to solving conflict. Before taking the assessment I couldn’t predict which score I would get because of my few work experiences I never had conflict within the workplace. After seeing my score I was and analyzing what I would do or my opinion on certain situations I am proud of my score interpretation. My score interpretation was productive an showed maturity in myself because I would go after a win-win situation many people think business is always cutthroat and in order to succeed you have to destroy something or someone.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 13-1: Are You a Strategic Thinker
In chapter thirteen quiz determines if you are a strategic thinker in the workplace. A total score of 52-60 means you think strategically which is an opportunity to teach strategic leadership to others, 30-51  suggest a neutral detached attitude towards thinking strategically, and the lowest 12-29 suggest thinking that emphasizes the here and now and the short term. My total score from the assessment was 54 out of 60 meaning I think strategically. Being able to think strategically is very important, my career goals is to go into the retail industry having vision and strategic plans is the way to success. Without strategic planning a company cannot fully function without strategic planning a company has to be prepared for everything.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 13-2: My Attitudes Toward Sharing Knowledge
The “My Attitudes Towards Sharing Knowledge” quiz measures how comfortable you are with sharing information and knowledge. The scoring on the test determines three things either you are generous with sharing knowledge and would fit well in an organization that practices knowledge management, you have an average attitude toward sharing knowledge with a mixture of enthusiasm and skepticism about knowledge sharing, or you are cautious and guarded about sharing ideas. On the assessment I scored a total of  35 which means I have an average attitudes towards sharing knowledge, with a mixture of enthusiasm and skepticism about knowledge sharing.
Leadership Self-Assessment Quiz 14-2:My Tolerance for Cultural Differences
Chapter fourteen assessment measures your tolerance for working in different environments and on different terms, your overall flexibility. My overall score was  36 which means my tolerance for working with people different from myself is average. While taking the assessment I realized many of the things I am uncomfortable with is because of communication, I feel like I cannot relate. The assessment asked would I be comfortable working with someone who eats what I consider a pet or coaching a team with both men and women. The thing that prevents me from being comfortable with the two situations is how I can handle the situation. If I have dinner with someone who eats cat meat I would be very uncomfortable because I’ve had one and that is not what I think they are here for. As far as coaching a team with both men and women I have a neutral perspective for that because while playing basketball my coach was a male and certain things I didn’t feel comfortable talking to him about and certain situations he did nit know how to handle so I would be kind of hesitant in these two dituations.
